Pugazh, who moved to Chennai from Cuddalore, as an aspiring actor and first appeared and performed in the comedy show “Sirippuda” in 2016. However, his the big break for him came after he participated on Vijay TV's "Cooku with Comali" and he shone in the sequel which was aired this year. Pugazh rose to prominence as a result of his amusing one-liners and counters and already has his own fan following touching millions on social media sites.

Pugazh is currently gaining a foothold in the Tamil film industry too and has bagged some major films such as Vijay Sethupathi's untitled directed by Ponram and also another project which has his 'Cooku With Comali 2' colleague Ashwin Kumar.

A rumour has started spreading that Pugazh secretly married his long time lover during the lockdown and a few photos are also being circulated on the internet. The reports say that the girl is a Muslim and that there were issues with the families and hence they could not have a public wedding and opted for a very private one.

Pugazh has denied the news and has stated that he is very much single and his sole concentration now is in his career as an actor and entertainer. He has also posted a black and white photo of himself perched stylishly and has written in Tamil "Dont live in fear, don't also live begging but live life for yourself".
