Thalapathy Vijay is a popular actor in the Tamil film industry and has gained respect in every corner of Tamil Nadu. Recently the Chield Minister of Puducherry, Rangaswamy met Vijay at his Panayur house and the news has spread like a wildfire.

It was reported that the meeting was held at Vijay's house to discuss the urban local body elections. The two talked for about an hour. According to Rangasamy's party, he met Vijay out of respect.

According to reports, as Vijay’s people’s movement is contesting in the urban local body elections, Puducherry Chief Minister Rangasamy has met actor Vijay. For 219 corporations, including Chennai, 138 municipalities and 490 municipalities, for 649 urban local bodies in Tamil Nadu, ward-wise elections are to be held in a single phase. The results are due to be announced on February 22, with voting set to take place on February 19.

On the professional front, Vijay wrapped his upcoming movie 'Beast' recently. The film is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar with Pooja Hegde playing the lead lady. the film also has Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, Shine Tom Chacko, Redin Kingsley, VTV Ganesh, Aparna Das, Lilliput Faruqui, Ankur Ajit Vikal, Sathish Krishnan, Redin Kingsley and Bjorn Surrao in supporting roles.
