Police arrest Pollachi sexual abuse protesters!

Following the forceful arrest of students who were protesting demanding stronger action in the Pollachi sexual abuse case against the four criminals arrested in the case, there was tension prevailing in and around Pudhukottai.
The Pollachi sexual abuse issue has become a burning sensational subject, and following the arrest of the 4 men who were behind the ruining of lives of many women over a period of more than 7 years when they troubled the women by sexually abusing them, capturing videos and blackmailing them for money and sex, there are protests all over the state.
In Pudhukottai, students of the Government arts college for Women organized a protest demanding severe action against the criminals and the students were involved in protests blocking the roads, and boycotting classes. The protest also had the presence of Aravind Samy, the deputy head of state students association, and many prominent persons. A team headed by Pudhukottai SP Selvaraj had reached the location and conducted talks with the students, and as the talks failed, cops forcefully arrested many of the students dragging them into vans, and this had created chaos and outrage among students and public.
