The Kannada film industry has been under the radar for involvement in a drug scandal, and many well known actors are shockingly a part of it. Now, actress Samyuktha Hegde who has acted in movies like Jayam Ravi's Comali, Puppy etc has revealed that she was attacked by the public at a park in Bengaluru and they threatened to involve her name in the drug scandal.

Samyuktha is a fitness enthusiast and updates videos of her practising exercises using hula hoop on her Instagram handle and had been hooping at a public park near Agara Lake at HSR Layout in Bengaluru yesterday. Suddenly an elderly woman started abusing her and the actress went live on her Instagram to display the incident to her fans.

As the actress explained how the elderly lady abused and criticised Samyuktha for her clothes, few men came and surrounded her, threatening to link her name in the drug scandal. The woman claimed to file a police complaint that Samyuktha was stripping in public, and Samyuktha also said she'll file a complaint with the police, and then the Cops arrived to resolve the issue. Samyuktha said in the live video that the incident happened in public and a woman was abused for wearing workout clothes and exercising and questioned what was the mistake of her and her friends to get shamed and undergo trauma for no fault. Netizens came in support of her in the comments, saying that the public mentality must change.
