Much to the delight of fans across the country, PUBG Mobile developer Krafton recently announced the company's plan to launch a new battle royale game in India under the name 'Battlegrounds Mobile India.' The game is a redesigned version of PUBG Mobile and will be available exclusively in India.
While there is much speculation regarding the release date of the game, the developers have revealed that Battlegrounds Mobile India will be launched soon. It has also been hinted that the game could be dropped in Playstore by June 10. PUBG Mobile caster and influencer, Ocean Sharma, was reportedly quoted as saying, "There will be two major announcements in May, one of which has been made today. Also, if this was just a teaser, the trailer could arrive by the end of the month if everything goes according to plan. Because this was only a baby step, the game could be available by June."
Following a clash in mid-June last year between the military troops in India and China over disputed territory which resulted in the death of 20 Indian soldiers, 59 Chinese based mobile apps, including the popular video sharing app TikTok, were banned in the country over data security concerns. Later, the government took up another list of such applications and examined them for violations to security and user privacy. Following this, a hundred other applications, including PUBG Mobile, were banned in the country.
