Last week, a person related to a TRS MLA badly bashed up playback singer Rahul Sipligunj at a pub in Gacchibowli. Two days after the attack, taking to Twitter, Rahul urged KT Rama Rao, the Minister in KCR government, to intervene and render justice. KTR, it's reported, assigned the task of working out a "compromise" between Rahul and the assaulter to Vinaya Bhaskar, the chief whip of the Telangana Assembly.
On Monday, Rahul and actor Prakash Raj called on Bhaskar at the latter's office. Prakash Raj was seen making a case for Rahul before the chief whip.
It's learned that Rahul had asked Prakash Raj to help him out as a mediator since he is not well-versed with interacting with big shots. The 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' actor today said that Rahul hasn't done any wrong. He wants to fight for the singer. Rahul is doing Krishna Vamsi's 'Ranga Maarthanda', of which Prakash Raj is the lead man.
Meanwhile, the chief whip claimed that they didn't have any discussion with respect to the pub brawl. "The meeting was regarding a film event," Bhaskar said.
