He has never said it openly, but we can be sure that K Vijayendra Prasad subscribes to Hindutva. The father of Rajamouli has proved it beyond doubt more than a couple of times in his career.

In 2017, he said an interview that he will be penning the script for a biopic on Guru Golwalkar. RSS men hold Golwalkar in high esteem. The project was supposed to fructify before the Lok Sabha elections. For whatever reason, it didn't materialize.

After the above project failed to go through, Vijayendra Prasad gave serious thought to a film on the RSS. Titled 'RSS Bhagwa', it was supposed to be produced by a pro-BJP businessman last year. It too didn't happen. In fact, Akshay Kumar was supposed to be approached for it.

A newspaper report says that Rajamouli's father was an active RSS swayamsevak during his youth.

Finally, he is penning a script on the Ram Mandir movement. Titled 'Aparajitha Ayodhya', this pro-Hindu film will highlight the cultural struggle of Hindus to build a grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya centuries after an invader built Babri Masjid on the site. It will be produced by Kangana Ranaut, who is a pro-BJP star.
