Till just about a week back there were questions being raised if Jaan-E-Mann would indeed be coming on October 20th. After all the promotion of 'Don - The Chase Begins Again' had kick started way back and was igniting the scene all over while media savvy Sajid Nadiadwala's Salman-Akshay-Preity starrer was nowhere to be seen.

But doesn't that make Sajid Nadiadwala the filmmaker he is? A man who loves to throw surprises...and that too in a big way.

If 'Don' can do it then 'Jaan-e-mann' can do it do - that's the underlining message that one gets from the one minute promo of the film that gives the word UNLEASHED arrive with its right meaning. Be it a music channel, a news channel or any other entertainment channel, it was 'Jaan-E-Mann' all the way as film lovers woke up to a lazy Sunday morning.

With a backdrop of brightly lit buildings, Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta are shown coming closer to each other and hugging with a whiff of cool air around them. Just when you thought that the 'Titanic' inspired sound of flute makes 'Jaan-E-Mann' a simple love story, the candid introduction of Salman Khan [with a new hairdo - is it a wig or weaving effect?] from the corner of a frame brings one to the edge of the seat! While he looks at them through a binocular and then faces the super camera, it zooms away amazingly to bring to fore the grand canvas of the film. It appears as if one moves miles away from the location while the lighted banner of 'Jaaneman' in the background keeps the intrigue factor alive.

As the camera takes a viewer through a skyline filled with skyscrapers to a new location, it's the turn of Salman Khan to turn romantic and come close to Preity. The charm of a full moon night remains intact while the buildings in the background give an overall grand look but is that all? No, because now it is the turn of Akshay Kumar to be viewing them from a distance. And guess what, while Salman did it through a binocular, Akshay settles for nothing less than a telescope itself! Also, look is an important factor conveyed through the promo because while Salman was noticeable for his new hairdo, Akshay wears spectacles nonetheless that gives him a mature look!

The tempo picks after a mellow beginning with the colorful'n'bright visuals filling up the screen. A mix of all what you see in a Karan Johar, Yash Chopra or even a Farah Khan film [her 'Main Hoon Naa' had a striking appeal too], an array of shots instantaneously get you hooked on the film. Shot of Salman Khan running on a bridge, Akshay Kumar tearing his shirt in front of a mirror in dismay [why is he doing that?], a brightly lit dance set with horde of dancers [creating a typical Farah Khan ambience], Salman-Preity dancing near a river, Akshay crying while hugging a smiling Priety - everything just continues to get you glued on to the proceedings and makes you wonder about what's in store from the film!

The promo's biggest highlight is a grand set [something on the lines of a film award function] that has the word SUPERSTAR lighting up each and every corner of the stage. Truly unbelievable, this is something that has never before been witnessed in a Bollywood film so far. There is a feel good effect aplenty as Akshay and Preity dance along near a bridge but the turning point comes when Akshay converts into Salman in a split second shot hence bringing a bewildered expression on Preity's face!

There is a 'thehrav' that comes towards the end with the camera focusing on Preity's face who is staring at a smiling face of Akshay. But this isn't all as the camera plays tricks yet again with an emergence of stylish looking Salman behind Akshay. One of the most interesting shots of the entire enterprise, it has to be seen to be believed......and cherished!

How much can a one minute convey? A lot if hard work goes into it. Shot at a cost of as much as Rs. 40 lakhs, the promo has done well in its endeavor to create a stunning impact on day one of its release.

No wonder one looks forward impatiently for the film's release this Diwali/Eid. It is indeed going to be a double treat for all the movie fans that get to watch the biggest superstars coming together in a matter of a single Friday!
