Promo of Vijay's 'Leo' reminds us of Praveen Sattaru's imagination

Swords wielded by righteous men are elegant in themselves. When they are brandished, the evil stands slayed. No wonder several filmmakers across the world have glamourized the sword and its omnipotent onscreen heroes in action movies, gangster dramas, and thrillers.
Last year, it was director Praveen Sattaru who famously did it for 'The Ghost'. He lionized the Tamahagane, a warrior-friendly sword made from a legendary metal with the sole intent of vanquishing his enemies. The invincible Katana of the ancient samurais apparently used it, the legend goes.
We are reminded of Akkineni Nagarjuna's film today because a similar conceit has been pulled off by Thalapathy Vijay in the Title Reveal promo of his movie 'Leo - Bloody Sweet'. In the now-viral promo, we see the hero soak a robust sword into a drum full of chocolate liquid. When he takes it out, he tastes a morsel of chocolate. This could be an indication that he wants to taste the blood of his prey, who are on the way to see him. A swarm of cars is seen intermittently.
