In October 2021, a project between Mega Power Star Ram Charan and 'Jersey' maker Gowtham Tinnanuri was confirmed. It was to be produced by UV Creations and NV Prasad's banner NVR Cinema, which recently made Chiranjeevi's 'GodFather'.
But now, the project has been shelved for unknown reasons. The director is now smoothly transitioning to a Vijay Devarakonda-starrer - ostensibly with the same story that was meant for Charan.
Dil Raju's banner has been overseeing the project for the past couple of months. The director recently narrated the script to the 'Arjun Reddy' actor. An official word on the project is awaited.
Vijay is doing 'Kushi' with the Shiva Nirvana-Samantha Ruth Prabhu duo. Since he is treading the post-'Liger' phase with caution, Tinnanuri's script must have been developed thoroughly. Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations must also have vetted the script comprehensively since nobody would want to miss the big opportunity to deliver a medium-range blockbuster with the Tinnanuri-Vijay duo.
The film might go on the floors in December or so and will hit the screens in the second half of 2023.
