Producers council takes action against piracy enabling theaters!

Piracy has been a serious issue plaguing the Tamil film industry. Sometimes even on the release day of the film, piracy copies somehow find their way into markets. And in due process, all the blood and sweat involved in the filmmaking process goes to waste in addition to the humongous amount of money spent.

Usually, this happens by capturing the movie played in theatres and later circulating them. Now the Producers council has identified 10 such theatres and has decided to take action against them. The council has filed a formal case against these theatres.

In addition to this, the council also has stated that it would no longer cooperate with these theatres. Communication has been made to producers(of films releasing coming October 17,18) and QUBE to not screen the movies on these theatres.
