Kiran K Talasila, who has been a banking professional in the US, is on his toes as a producer these days. While straddling the two contrasting sectors, the young producer is unstoppable in the film industry.
"I have produced 'Crazy Uncles', whose story and fun factor captivated me," Kiran says, before taking us through his filmography so far. "I am enjoying the process of building up a network in the film industry. As a banker, I have done analytical works. The film industry is more emotional in nature, involving creativity. Life is too short. I wouldn't want to pick only one of these two. I want to go with the flow," Kiran tells us.
Two years after co-producing 'Bhale Manchi Chowka Beram', he okayed a series of Telugu projects during the peak of the pandemic in 2020. "The Tamil film 'Gorilla', the Telugu-Tamil thriller 'Seven' and 'Nanna Prakara' in Kannada are in my filmography," Kiran says, adding that doing them was a terrific creative experience.
In Telugu, he is associated with three future projects besides 'Crazy Uncles': 'Godhari Kathalu', 'Goldman' and 'Naluguritho Narayana' are the ones.
What about his ambitious Hindi film 'Ae Kaash Ke Hum', which features Vivaan Shan (Naseeruddin Shah's son)? "It is a tastefully shot movie. It is meant for the big screen. I hope we are going for a big-screen release this year," Kiran says.
Acting is also on his list. For now, he is keen on learning more and more as a producer. "As long as you enjoy and are open to anything, there are so many possibilities. Besides having a strategy, you should be capable," Kiran adds.
