In 2020, Suriya teamed up with the highly acclaimed director Vetrimaaran for the ambitious project, 'Vaadivaasal'. The film is an adaptation of writer Si Su Chellappa's novel of the same name, produced by Kalaippuli Thanu. The producer has dropped a hot update about the film yesterday.

The shooting of Vaadivaasal hasn't commenced yet. Kalaippuli Thanu talked at an award ceremony last night and he stated that the shooting of Vaadivaasal will begin this year for sure. He added that the film will be cherished by all Tamil people around the world. Sources say that Suriya will start shooting for Vaadivaasal after he wraps up 'Suriya 42'.

It is worth mentioning that Suriya adopted some bulls and is training with them as he will be shooting with the same bulls in the movie. In the meantime, Vetrimaaran completed his two-part film 'Viduthalai'. The first part of Viduthalai landed on big screens today and the second part will hit the screens later this year. He will start Vaadivaasal after it.
