The situation of a producer is like that of a farmer. He takes the crop benefits after everyone reap it. Like that a producer also. He will be receiving benefits for his crores of investment only at the end. If the rain fall fails the farmer is left in lurch, the film fails the producer is not taken care.

This is producer L Padmanabha speaking to a few media friends at his second film College Kumara` shooting completion day at Gavipuram in Bengaluru. I have lost heavily from the first film John Jaani Janardhan`. The three days cyclone affected the collections very badly. I have done a few mistakes from the first film. It was a joint production. In this independent film Padmanabha affectionately known as paddu` says he has corrected a few mistakes yet the budget of the film has gone up in the direction of Hari Santosh for College Kumara`. The need of a few more actors pressed for more investment he recalls.

What is sad part of this film industry is that when a first time producer suffers loss there is not even one caring hand. Success is the only answer I was able to gauge. I have provided spot editing facility for College Kumara` director. That is like preparation of good recipe tasting it and then going ahead for a director he says. Padmanabha thanked the support of his friends Nataraj and Rohit. Another fear is that the close association with Muthappa Rai (reformed don) is making this producer to cool down on any circumstance and say all is well to himself.
