We already informed you that Actor Sivakarthikeyan has filed a lawsuit against producer Gnanavel Raja alleging that he owed Rs 4 crores pending salary amount for acting in 'Mr. Local'. Now, it has been reported that producer Gnanavel Raja has filed a reply petition in this case.
Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara starrer 'Mr. Local', which was released in 2018, did not get the expected success. The actor was paid only Rs 11 crore out of a salary of Rs 15 crore for his role in the film, but the remaining Rs 4 crore was not paid. Sivakarthikeyan has filed a petition in the Chennai High Court alleging that producer Gnanavel Raja is not paying the money even when demanded repeatedly.
Sivakarthikeyan had also stated in his petition that the Income Tax Department had sent him a notice in this regard and that the producer had not filed the Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) for payment of Rs 11 crore. Producer Gnanavela Raja, who filed the petition in response to the SK's lawsuit, said that actor Sivakarthikeyan had sued me after concealing many facts and therefore the petition filed by him should be dismissed along with the fine. The case is set to return to the court soon.
