The standoff between Producer Council and FEFSI is continuing on its third day with the government intervening and a mediation set for tomorrow the 4th of August. R.K. Selvamani met Superstar Rajinikanth who advised the two organizations to settle things amicably through dialogue.

K. Rajan of the Producer Council, on a televised debate highly criticized Rajinikanth for issuing a statement that he does not like the word strike and asking both sides to let go of their egos. Rajan stated that Rajini after meeting with R.K. Selvamani should have then called the Producer Council office bearers and listened to their side and then later spoken to both teams together and solved the problem. He was of the opinion that members of both the organizations respect Rajini and would have listened to him.
