If sources are to be believed the Tamil Film Producers Association will soon issue an order for all producers to not release any film after the month of October this year which would mean that there will be no Tamil film release for Deepavali this year.

The Producers council seems to have decided to sort out all the issues faced by producers by conducting a grand meeting with all the associations connected with Film industry and the talks will begin from the last week of October. Issues such of exorbitant salary charged by star actors, rising advertisement costs, financiers taking a toll on producers during the release to settle their during the eleventh hour of the film`s release and non-availability of theatres for small budget and films without star value etc. it is being said that all the producers will be ordered to not release their films until plans are chalked and implemented to sort out these issues after achieving a consensus in the talks.

However Deepavali is the grandest festival in Tamil Nadu and watching films on the day of lights has been a vital part of celebrations for many in the state. No film release on Deepavali will be a huge loss to fans and also those connected with the film industry as they will be losing the opportunity to cash in on the big festival rush.

As of now the Tamil films expected to hit the screens as Deepavali treat are Kamal Haasan`s Thoongavanam`, Ajith`s yet to be titled 56th film and Suriya`s 24`.

We hope that the issues are sorted out within the Deepavali festival season and this Deepavali does not become dry for movie buffs.
