Producer complains about Kamal Haasan's debt

Popular producer KE Gnanavelraja of Studio Green (which produced Vijay Deverakonda's 'NOTA' last year) has lodged a complaint against Kamal Haasan in the Tamil Film Producers Council.
According to the complaint, in the year 2015, Kamal Haasan had produced 'Uttama Villain' on a first copy basis. The film had a troubled release due to lack of funds and Kamal had borrowed Rs 10 Cr from Gnanavelraja, promising to act in a new movie produced by him.
Gnanavelraja in his complaint has claimed that four years hence, Kamal has not given any dates nor has he made efforts to repay the dues. He has sought the help of the Council to force Kamal to either act in a film or get back the money that is due. What action the council will take against Kamal will be known soon.
