Priyanka - I am not familiar with genre of '7 Khoon Maaf'

As '7 Khoon Maaf' releases today, the promotional campaign for this Vishal Bhardwaj film has seen a momentum building for itself. Other than the song 'Darling' which has turned out to be the darling of the nation, another factor that is more than just visible is the dark look and feel of the film. So much so that one wonders if this Priyanka Chopra starrer is one film could well be one frightful experience.

Naah, that's a wrong insinuation, promptly responds Priyanka when put forth this query, The film is neither frightful not horror. In fact I won't even call it a thriller. Honestly speaking, the film belongs to a genre with which I am not much familiar with. There is nothing that I can pin point on and say that look, this is the space in which it belongs.

Yes, be prepared for surprises definitely as this is one wicked film, trust me, Priyanka continues in her much trademark spirited tone, Don't expect anything that you are familiar with. It is an intense film laced with humour but at the same time it would enthral you as well.

With Priyanka sounding confident about the step that she had taken one does wonder about what next for her. After all the kind of performance that one expects from her with '7 Khoon Maaf', it could well be not just a career defining one but also a milestone from which it would be difficult to move ahead.

No, I am not thinking on these lines at all, she reacts with a broad smile, Come on, I have so much more up my sleeves. I always take steps knowing that this would make me move higher. I have to constantly surprise myself with what I can do and with '7 Khoon Maaf' that has happened again.

With lyrics by Gulzar and music by Vishal Bhardwaj himself, '7 Khoon Maaf' releases all over this Friday.
