Talks are that Desi Gal Priyanka Chopra has been roped into share screen with ‘Gunday’ Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor.

It’s no news that Yash Raj Films is coming up next with a period film ‘Gunday’ that is set in 70s and deals with black marketing mafia men Bikram (Ranveer) and Bala (Arjun) in Calcutta (now Kolkata).

Earlier speculations were rife that Katrina Kaif has been considered to play the female lead for the film. According to sources, the female lead role is very challenging and performance based. And so the makers felt that Priyanka will be most suitable for the character.

The film will be helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, whose first film was ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ under the same banner. Incidentally this will be Priyanka’s second film under YRF after ‘Pyaar Impossible’.
