Priyanka Chopra may be finding herself in an eye of storm considering the unwanted attention she is getting when it comes to 'lack of leading men' for her in films to come. While newspapers, tabloids and websites are on an overdrive highlighting the heroes who are presumably unwilling to work with her, there is one man who continues to stand by her. He is Karan Malhotra, director of 'Agneepath', who is responsible for giving Priyanka her second 100 crore flick after 'Don 2'. Even though some have termed Priyanka's role in 'Agneepath' as an extended guest appearance, Karan is up for her defence.

"The way I look at it then well, despite 'Agneepath' being a male dominated film, the part played by Priyanka was very prominent. It wasn't that of a simple or ordinary lover. She was there for Vijay (Hrithik Roshan) unconditionally and without any expectations",

reasons Karan, "Also, I think with all the dangerous people around her, she is like this pretty flower standing there with a smile on her face."

As for the dangerous people then well, it is Sanjay Dutt who is winning more accolades than anyone else (even Hrithik) for his menacing act as Kaancha'. His performance in the film is pretty much an indicator of the fact that he was heard telling friends and acquaintances for months in advance that 'Agneepath' was one film on which he actually wanted to concentrate since he was so kicked about it.

"I think more than me providing him a certain personality to play around with in the film, it is Dutt who has given me an opportunity to bring to life the character of Kaancha that I wrote", says Karan, "See, I could have dreamt of Kaancha to be powerful, evil and all but then such dreams can be realised only when you have an actor like Dutt. As you can yourself see now, he has taken Kaancha to a different level now."
