Moments after Priyanka Chopra dropped her husband’s surname ‘Jonas’ from her Instagram and Twitter handles, netizens began to speculate about her marriage. Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra, however, has put the rumours to rest.

While some reports claimed that Priyanka and Nick Jonas were heading for a separation, the actress’ mother Madhu Chopra rubbished the claims and stated that there was no truth to the rumours. A news agency quoted one of Priyanka’s friends as saying, “These divorce rumours are all amusing. Priyanka is using her first name because she wants to use that in her future projects. There is no truth to any other speculation. Also, she’s not only dropped ‘Jonas’ but ‘Chopra’ as well on social media.” Priyanka and Nick tied the knot at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur in December 2018 in two different wedding ceremonies.

Priyanka Chopra is currently in London shooting for her upcoming series Citadel, which also features Eternals and Game of Thrones star Richard Madden. Meanwhile, she has also been involved in the promotions of her upcoming film ‘The Matrix Resurrections,’ starring Keanu Reeves.
