Priyanka Chopra revealed to the world that she has welcomed her first child via surrogacy with her husband Nick Jonas. Though the duo did not confirm the gender of the child it was later revealed that they became parents to a baby girl.

According to reports Priyanka and Nick's baby, their bundle of joy has been named Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. The document states that Malti was born just after 8 pm on January 15 in San Diego, California.

While the couple hasn't made any confirmation yet on the baby's name, it seems the name could a special meaning for the duo. The couple continues to honour both their traditions with their baby daughter's name as well.

“We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much,” a joint statement shared via Instagram read announcing the birth of Malti Marie read.

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra has a number of projects in the pipeline, including the Amazon Prime series Citadel, the romantic drama Text For You, and the Bollywood film Jee Le Zaraa.
