In the Tretayuga` Dasharatha King had three wives – Kaikeyi, Kausalya and Sumithra – simplest, cunning and intelligent respectively.

In the Kaliyuva Dasharatha` played by V Ravichandran in the modern outlook the two of the three heroines have been selected. The national award winning actress Priyamani and Sonia who acted in Chandu` with Kichcha Sudeep and made a ground in Tamil films is another heroine. The search for one more is in progress. The Kaikeyi qualities are filled in Priyamani role while Kausalya qualities are part of Sonia character.

MS Ramesh heading the megaphone brings in the three qualities of women in this Dasharatha`. He is also producer with this film. According to MS Ramesh the tough character is that of Kikeyi, we needed a tough performer like Priyamani. We are happy that she has agreed to be part of this film.

For Sonia Agarwal it is a comeback to Kannada after 15 years. V Ravichandran will be in two different get ups in this film Dasharatha`. The film focuses on the atrocities on women and there is court hall proceedings too.
