In Ram Gopal Varma's Raktha Charitra, a romp through the saga of Anantapur faction feuds, actress Priyamani of 'Pravarakhyudu' fame has found a place. She will play opposite Surya, who is playing the role of Maddelacheruvu Suri in the film. The much-publicised film sees the couple, along with Vivek Oberoi who plays the slained Paritala Ravindra.

The news that Priyamani has been roped for the role has surprised a few. The prestigious project, which RGV regards as the most important film of his career, is proceeding at a brisk pace. A two-part idea, the film is expected to hit the screens in this year. A real-life saga of power politics, factionalism and more, the film has been mired in controversies as well.

Priyamani will share screenspace with Radhika Apte, who plays Paritala Sunita in the movie. For the actress, it must be a dream come true to bag a multi-language film, that too which is directed by Ram Gopal.

The actress' new film Sadhyam, with Jagapathi Babu, is releasing in a short time. Also, the actress's performance in Shambo Shiva Shambo has been appreciated.
