Priyadarshan set for a hat-trick of successes this year

  • IndiaGlitz, [Saturday,November 11 2006]

Once upon a time Mahesh Bhatt used to direct 2-3 films in an year. Then it was the turn of David Dhawan to repeat the feat. Soon, film making went through a change and from actors to directors everyone became selective.

In comparison Priyadarshan is still being associated with multiple projects and that too year after year. If 2005 saw 2 of his releases coming on the same day [Garam Masala, Kyun Ki], 2006 is a step ahead for him as he sees his 'Bhagam Bhag' getting released on 22nd December. Earlier this year, he had a superhit in the form of 'Malamaal Weekly' and an above average runner as 'Chup Chup Ke'.

In fact he is the only A league director this year to see as many as 3 Hindi films releasing in a single year at regular years. Hats off to his high energy and passion for making films.
