The much-awaited trailer of Mollywood superstar Mohanlal's magnum opus 'Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham' is out on YouTube. On Tuesday, the makers unveiled the much-hyped trailer and it looks every bit grand and magnificent. The trailer promises that the movie will be a visual treat for the audience. From the costumes, weapons to the set pieces, director Priyadarshan has managed to brilliantly recreate the bygone era and will leave you stunned.
Mohanlal plays Kunjali Marakkar IV in the movie that has reportedly been made at the cost of Rs 100 crore, making it the most expensive Malayalam film ever made. The epic period drama is set in the 16th century and also stars Arjun Sarja, Suniel Shetty, Prabhu, Manju Warrier, Keerthy Suresh, Mukesh, Siddique, and Nedumudi Venu among others. Written and directed by Priyadarshan and Produced by Antony Perumbavoor Under the Banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, the upcoming Pan India project also stars Pranav Mohanlal, Arjun, Suniel Shetty, Prabhu, Manju Warrier, Suhasini, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Fazil, Siddique, Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, Ashok Selvan, and others. Even before the grand release in India, at the 67th National Film Awards, the film won three awards- Best Feature Film, Best Special Effects, and Best Costume Design.
Music is by Ronnie Raphael while Thiru is the cinematographer and Aiyappan Nair M.S is the editor. Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham was earlier scheduled to be released on March 26, 2020, but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. After waiting for over a year to release the film in cinemas, Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham is now set to open in cinemas on December 2.
