Noted director and Superstar to team up for the Bollywood remake of 'Visaranai'

Director Vetrimaran's 'Visaranai' was screend in the Mumbai international film festival a few months before its theatrical release. Veteran Malayalam and Bollywood director Priyadarshan was one of the celebrities who caught the film in its festival screening and was awestruck by it. The filmmaker who has made some Tamil films including the national award winning 'Kancheevaram', had called Vetrimaran and said this was the best Tamil film he had seen in a decade.
Now we learn that Priyadarshan has acquired the remake Bollywood remake rights of the film. Priyadarshan will be producing and directing it with Bollywood superstar and the villain of Superstar Rajinikanth in the upcoming film '2.0' is expected to reprise the role played by Samuthirakani in Tamil.
Priyadarshan and Akki had earlier teamed up for the films 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' the Bollywood remake of 'Chandramukhi' and Trisha's debut and only Bollywood film Khatta Meetha' that released in 2010.
We will have to wait for an official announcement regarding this.
