Court gives its decision on FIRs filed against Priya Prakash Varrier

Priya Prakash Varrier needs no introduction. The youngster shot to sensation with her much adored ‘wink’ in a promotional song for her upcoming ‘Oru Adaar Love’. Not only that, some Muslim groups have forced the Telengana and Maharashtra police to lodge FIR against the actress citing that the religious sentiments were hurt.
However, the country’s apex court agreed to an urgent hearing of Priya Prakash’s petition to quash the FIRs filed on her. Corresponding to this, today the Supreme Court has stayed all criminal proceedings against the actress. The three judge bench led by Chief Justice Dipak Misra ordered that no further criminal proceedings, filing of FIR can be done against the actress in any state of the country with regards to the song.
Priya Prakash Varrier has gained millions of fans with her cute expressions in the song titled ‘Manikya Malaraya Poovi’ and after the Supreme Court’s order, sure she can breathe a sigh of relief.
