Priya Prakash Varrier’s wink doesn’t need an introduction. The viral wink engulfed the entire nation in its cuteness. And it seems like people are yet to come out of the sweet hangover. More especially, in Kerala where the sensational wink had made its way to the Communist Party posters.

While it is unusual for the Communist Party to seek film celebrities to draw attention, the All India Students Federation(AISF), the students wing of CPI has made campaign posters featuring the wink. The State Secretary of AISF however has stated that it was a symbol of protest against the fundamentalist opression that creators face.  It is a well known fact that the Manikya Malaraya Poovi had hurt the religious sentiments of some Muslim groups who even registered complaints with the police.
