Priya Prakash Varrier needs no introduction. The girl who became famous with just a wink. Priya winked for a song in her upcoming movie ‘Oru Adaar Love’ and has become a sensation since then. However, a group in Hyderabad had filed cases with the police that winking is not allowed in Islam.

The complainants are Muqueeth Khan and Zaheer Udin Ali Khan. Pertaining to this, the Supreme Court not only canceled all criminal proceedings against the actress but also guess the bench got seriously pissed off that it asked if the complainants had no other job than to file cases. 

The SC also removed the FIR on the 18-year-old actress, the director and the producer of the movie. The complaint stated that Varrier’s expressions in the song outraged religious sentiments. However, SC stated that it did not apply to Ms. Varrier. It is also worth noting here that the SC had put a hold to all criminal proceedings against the actress this February.
