Employees succumbing under the pressure of their occupation is nothing new. Especially so in the IT sector and companies. The recent suicide of a woman working in Chennai has shocked everybody. The girl was an employee in an IT firm in Thoraipakkam.

Reportedly the girl had walked to the ninth floor of the office building and jumped down and killed herself. Upon hearing the incident, the Royapettah police immediately arrived at the spot and sent the body to post mortem.

The woman has been identified as Priya and information has been sent to her parents who live in Andhra Pradesh. Priya had been living in a private hostel in Chennai. Police is currently investigating the suicide on various angles such as mental pressure, strain of the job, stress from higher officials, family issues etc.

In addition to this, the co-workers of Priya have also come under the ambit of investigation.
