It was recently Prithviraj's much-hyped horror-thriller 'Cold Case' had a direct OTT release, owing to the second wave of coronavirus pandemic. As the uncertainty continues on the reopening of cinema theatres in the state, the makers of Prithviraj's yet another movie have opted for an OTT release. The actor's action thriller 'Kuruthi' is all set to release on August 11, on Amazon Prime Video as an Onam release. The announcement was made through the official social media platforms of Amazon Prime Video.

Directed by debutant Manu Warrier, Kuruthi also stars Roshan Mathew, Murali Gopy, Shine Tom Chacko, Mamukoya, Srinda, Manikandan R Achari, Navas Vallikkunnu, Naslen, and Sagar Surya. Touted to be a revenge story, Kuruthi is produced by Prithviraj's wife Supriya Menon.
