Prithviraj's intense aged avatar in the first look poster of his upcoming movie 'Karachi 81' was celebrated by fans. The movie, which is billed as one of the “greatest episodes of espionage” featuring RAW agents from the South, is directed by KS Bawa.
Set in the aftermath of the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war, the lead actor will be donning multiple get-ups throughout the flick. Though the movie is based on some true-life incidents, it has been heavily fictionalized to make the narrative even more interesting. Apart from Prithviraj and Tovino, there are few other top actors who will be playing important roles in the movie.
In a recent interview, Bawa revealed that he has been trying to set the project on floors for the past five years. But the movie got delayed as it took some time to align the schedules of all the artistes on board. He also revealed that the movie will be made of a big-scale. Full details regarding the cast and crew will be unveiled soon, said KS Bawa.
Talking about the shoot details, Bawa revealed that the movie will go on floors by the end of October or November this year. The shoot will predominantly be in India along with a few crucial scenes shot in Karachi. There will also be a few schedules outside India.
Written by BS Bawa and Anwar Huzzain, Karachi 81 will have music by Jakes Bejoy. Sujith Vassudev is cranking the camera and Mahesh Narayanan in charge of the editing. The film is bankrolled under the banner Anto Joseph Film Company.
