Akshay Kumar has around half a dozen films waiting for release and one of them is the period drama 'Prithviraj'. On Thursday, the actor shared a few character poster from the film and also revealed its date of release. 'Prithviraj' is going to hit the theatres on 10th of June 2022.

Introducing the audience to his character of the warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan, Akshay wrote, "Parakram mein Arjun, pratiksha mein bhishma, aise mahaan samrat Prithviraj Chauhan ki bhumika karna ka saubhagya jevan mein kabhi kabhi milta hai. A role of a lifetime. Samrat #Prithviraj Chauhan arriving in cinemas on 10th June in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu.”

He also shared the posters of Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutt and Manushi Chhillar's characters. 'Prithviraj' is going to have a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal's upcoming comedy flick 'Govinda Mera Naam' which is going to release on thr same day. Apart from Vicky, the film also stars Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. While Vicky, Kiara and Bhumi are skilled actors and popular among youth, it'd be interesting to see how they hold their own against the sheer star power of Akshay Kumar.
