The much-awaited Prithviraj film Vimaanam has finally got a release date. According to the latest update, the upcoming Pradeep Nair directorial will hit theatres in December as a Christmas release. However, lead actor Prithviraj and crew members are yet to make an official confirmation about the release date of Vimaanam.
 
Produced by Listin Stephen, Vimaanam is inspired from Saji Thomas’ life, a deaf-mute from Idukki, who built an aircraft on his own. Prithviraj is essaying the central character Venkiti, a young man who aspires to build an aircraft on his own in the movie. Vimaanam features newcomer Durga Krishna as the female lead along with Anarkali Marakkar who plays a pivotal role. 

The movie will also see Alencier in a different getup. Nedumudi Venu, Shanthi Krishna, Sudheer Karamana and many others will also be doing prominent roles. Gopi Sundar has composed the music for the movie. Shamnad Jalal is the DOP. Vimaanam is produced by Listin Stephen, under the banner Magic Frames.
