As reported earlier, actors Prithviraj, Asif Ali and Manju Warrier are teaming up for the first time for an upcoming movie titled 'Kaapa', that will be helmed by director-cinematographer Venu. According to the latest reports, the film will start rolling from May 20th onwards and the first scheduled shoot will commence in Trivandrum. As Prithviraj is now currently busy with the shooting for his upcoming Blessy’s directorial film ‘Aadujeevitham’, the actor will join the first scheduled shoot of the movie in June. An official announcement from the team is awaited though.

Penned down by the veteran writer GR Indugopan, ‘Kaapa’ explores the dark side of Thiruvananthapuram district where rival thugs clashes in gang wars to gain control over the suburbs and slums. Apart from Prithviraj, Manju Warrier and Asif Ali, the film also features the actors Indrans, and Anna Ben in pivotal roles. The movie's intriguing motion poster was unveiled by Megastar Mammootty and it has generated a huge buzz on social media. The movie's cinematography is by Sanu John Varghese and music by Justin Varghese. The popular director- editor Mahesh Narayanan is in charge of handling the cuts of the film ‘Kaapa’.
