Power star Puneeth Rajakumar the unconquered king of box office in Kannada is having every reason to smile. The film ‘Prithvi’ is releasing just a day earlier to his iconic father Dr Rajakumar ‘s 81st birth anniversary and for the first time in his short span Puneeth Rajakumar plays the bureaucrat role in ‘Prithvi’.

On Tuesday afternoon ‘Prithvi’ was passed by the Regional Censor Board with ‘U’ certificate suggesting two minor cuts. ‘Prithvi’ is releasing in 85 theatres all over Karnataka on an average of 340 shows a day.

‘Prithvi’ producers Soorappa Babu and NS Rajakumar are safe even before the release of the film as the film was sold out in the market long ago. Parvathi Menon the richly talented actress is in her second film as heroine with Puneeth Rajakumar. Her earlier film ‘Milana’ was top notch in the box office running to one year. Srinivasamurthy, Sathyapriya, John Kokkin, Avinash, Ramesh Bhat, Padmaja Rao, Shivaji Rao Jadhav, John Anees are also in the cast.

The remake film director Jacob Verghese with good report from ‘Savaari’ is the curiously anxious person on the results of the film. Where he will be placed one would know from ‘Prithvi’. Manikanth Khadri growing up fast in his career has already got the good response in the market for his scorings. It is in this film Shruthi Hassan has lent her voice in the song “Nenapidhu Nenapidhu…”. Sathyaraj is the cameraman of this film.

‘Antharthma’ the film with wonderful graphics and ghost effect on silver screen is also sitting pretty even before release because of the new marketing techniques adopted by the Friends Productions.

The newcomer in the direction Shanker B has penned the screenplay and script for the film. KG Krishna and M Jayaram are the executive producers. Giridhar Diwan has scored the music and Sundarnath Suvarana is the cameraman
