Though Malayalam cinema has dealt with many a bans, this is the first time young actor Prithviraj is facing one. The ban imposed by the producers association is due to a complaint by the producer of his movie on pipeline 'Raghupathy Ragahava Rajaram, directed by Shaji Kailas. The movie which was dropped mid way due to difference of opinion between it's makers was a big budgeter with Prithvi in triple roles. and now the producer of the movie Palakkottil Murali is demanding a return of the capital spent on the movie. As the crew behind the movie has already split and is busy with their individual projects, there is less chance for the completion of the movie in the near future.

Meanwhile Shaji Kailas, the director of the movie has made it clear that he has made the scriptwriter rewrite the scripts to suit the new generation audience and that he is ready to start its soon. It was in this juncture Producers association of Mollywood has issued a notice to others, not to start any new movies with the actor before completing this one.

Grapevine is that this is all the play of a lobby headed by a big actor who is simply jealous of the growing stature of Prithvi which has even extended up to Bollywood. It is rumoured that the same actor has tried to jeopardize the growth of him with his 'Booing squad' at the early stages of his career.Anyhow, Prithvi will be finding it as a boon in disguise as he is trying to concentrate more on Hindi cinema as of now.
