'Salaar' is the 'KGF' director Prashant Neel's next project starring Prabhas and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. Earlier this year, the makers broke that famous actor Prithviraj Sukumaran will be playing the chief antagonist in the mega-budget movie.

The first look poster of Prithviraj's character from 'Salaar' was unveiled today officially marking the birthday of the actor. Sharing the poster, Prithviraj wrote on his social media pages, "Thank you #HombaleFilms #PrashanthNeel #Prabhas and the entire team of #Salaar! #VardharajaMannaar will see you in theatres on the 28th of September 2023!" (sic).

Jagapathy Babu, Easwari Rao, Shriya Reddy, Madhu Guruswamy and others play supporting roles in the movie which has music by Ravi Basrur and cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda. Hombale Films who produced the KGF saga are bankrolling Salaar as well. The hot buzz is that Salaar is set in the same universe as KGF and is a follow up of the KGF films.
