Kate, the Princess of Wales, has reportedly offered kind gestures that have eased relations between her brother-in-law Prince Harry and the rest of the royal family. The Duke of Sussex increasingly finds himself cut off from his connections with King Charles III and Prince William in recent years. Controversy over his memoir, “Spare,” and various television interviews have strained other friendships within Buckingham Palace as well as for him to move to America with Meghan Markle and their children.
According to an insider, Kate has been a pretty driving force at Buckingham Palace reaching out to Harry for support when he was going through some hard times. The insider says that Kate discouraged Harry not to let temporary setbacks get him down and stay positive. “Despite the challenges he’s facing, she means a lot to Harry," this source said.
But the source says while Kate maintains a connection with Harry through late-night calls, Prince William has said he’s not yet ready to reconcile with his brother.
Tensions spiralled when Harry made those allegations against the Royal Family — including Prince William. The strain deepened with reports of conflicts between the two brothers and Kate.
The Sussexes had suffered recent setbacks, such as the halt to their Spotify deal and a snub at the Emmys for their documentary. They also saw Harry's status on the Royal Family's website change, removing his "His Royal Highness" title. Despite these hurdles, Kate's efforts over the years to remain in contact with Harry show her compassionate side within the royal fold.
