The inspiration behind the Princess of Wales's Wimbledon outfit has been revealed, providing more information about her moving public appearance.
Kate, who is 42 years old, wore a purple dress, which is often a sign of hope for people who are fighting cancer. This was her second public showing of the year, as she continues to get treatment. The Princess got a standing ovation at Wimbledon on Sunday, where she went with Princess Charlotte to give trophies.
Kate wants to go to a few engagements over the summer if her health allows it, even though she is still having health problems. She said she is not out of the woods yet in her battle with a sickness that she did not name.
Royal staff told Vanity Fair that Kate plans to return to her full royal tasks as soon as she heals.
In other royal news, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle broke a 64-year rule when they gave their kids new last names. Their names are now Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Their website has been changed to show that the children's last name is now Sussex instead of Mountbatten-Windsor.
It shows that the family has had the same last name for the first time since the King's coronation, a person told The Times. The name Mountbatten-Windsor will no longer be used by the male children of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, as was the case before this change.
