This year, Prince Harry made a surprise stop in Las Vegas while in the United States on his way to the NFL Honors gala. On Thursday, the 39-year-old Duke of Sussex appeared at Resorts World Theatre to hand over the prestigious Walter Payton Man of the Year Award to Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Cameron Heyward.
Therefore, Harry appreciated the NFL players on this day, having reckoned their great input both in football and life off the field, and he even concluded that they were really role models and philanthropists. He particularly appreciated community service and thanked Heyward for his great input with the help of others.
Heyward received a total of $250,000 after Prince Harry awarded him the opportunity to choose a charity to donate to. After receiving the award from Prince Harry, Heyward's reaction of surprise and joy was evident not only from his own expression but also from the enthusiastic response of the crowd.
This followed a brief visit to London in the week, during which he met his father, King Charles III, before returning to the U.S. The visit marked his first return to the U.K. since May 2023, but he did not meet his brother Prince William while there. His wife, Meghan Markle, and their children are staying in California.
The weekend also included the NFL Honors event on Sunday, which served as the kickoff to the Super Bowl LVIII weekend.
