PM Modi's first direct reaction on People's protest for Jallikattu

With the protests against Jallikattu's ban mounting exessive pressure, Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam flew to Delhi 2 days back to have talks with the Prime Minister regarding Jallikattu and also few other issues.

The Centre which said it will offer full support to the State Government, said the issue was sub-judice.

Now that the Tamil Nadu's CM has drafted an ordinance, which has also been approved by the Hon'ble President and the Governor of Tamil Nadu, Jallikattu is set to be conducted tomorrow.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that his party is very proud of the Tamils and that all efforts are being taken to ensure that the culture of Tamil Nadu remains intact.
