Lyricists are, by nature, very sensitive and aesthetic. Sometimes, they are emotionally high-strung too.
So when a lyricist is directing a film, you expect it to be a well-crafted one.
Kulasekhar, a well-known lyricist, has wielded the megaphone for Premalekha Raasa.
The film, he promises, will be a very delicately woven romantic yarn.
Produced by Mallidi Satyanarayana Reddy, this film introduces Venkat Mallidi as hero. Anjali of 'Photo' fame is the heroine.
Having got his own father as the producer, the hero son has worked extra hard to make an indelible impression.
The youngster looks very promising indeed. Anjali is very sprightly too, and the duo share good onscreen chemistry.
Kulasekhar has been part of highly successful love subjects like Chitram,Jeyam and Nuvvu Nenu. He was the dialogue and scriptwriter for the films.
So it goes without saying that he knows only too well how to present a love theme with an interesting angle.
This story is all about a love letter and the questions that sprout soon after, viz., who penned the love letter, to whom and who laid hands on it. In other words, the love letter forms the major backdrop of the film.
The film has a strong musical element running as the undercurrent and the songs of Sriram Kaushik are already doing well in the market.
Since Kulasekhar is basically a writer, one can expect to get a slice of pristine Telugu in the film, something that is a rarity these days.
All told, the movie promises clean and wholesome entertainment. Definitely a feel-warm film for the winter season.
The movie is releasing this week.
