We brought to you that Captain Vijayakanth was admitted to the MIOT Hospital in Chennai on November 18 due to a fever. An official statement from the hospital management yesterday claimed that there is a setback in the veteran actor-politician's health and he needs hospital treatment for 14 more days.

Now, Vijayakanth's wife Premalatha has put out a video explaining Captain's health condition to the fans and DMDK party members who were in shock because of yesterday's news. In the video, she said, "My greetings to all the DMDK cadres and all the good souls who have immense devotion to the captain."

"The report given by the hospital management yesterday was a typical hospital report and nothing for the captain to worry about. So party members don't be afraid of that. The captain is healthy and well. The doctors and medical management are taking good care of him and I am taking care of him," added Premalatha.

Premalatha Vijayakanth concluded by saying, "The leader will recover and return home soon. And everyone's prayers and his charity will surely save him. So don't worry cadres, I will be with you and take care of him." Her video is now doing rounds on social media and has calmed the fans and party members.
