Prema Vimanam Movie Review

Prema Vimanam is a special film as producer Abhishek Nama's kids are playing the main lead along with Anasuya Bharadwaj. Read our review here.

Story:

In this heartfelt narrative, we encounter the two protagonists, Ramu ( Devansh Nama) and Lachu (Anirudh Nama), who happen to be the kids of a single mom(Anasuya). A chance encounter with a friend who has experienced air travel awakens an intense longing in the brothers to take flight, but their financial constraints stand in the way of their aspirations. Simultaneously, we are introduced to Mani (Sangeeth Shobhan) and Abhita (Saanvee Megghana), deeply in love, yet their journey is marred by societal divisions. The film delves into whether the couple achieved their desired life and if the children realized their dreams, weaving a compelling narrative.

Prema Vimanam Movie Review

Analysis:

The relentless determination of the kids to achieve their dreams is depicted with great finesse, surprising given that Prema Vimanam marks the debut of Devansh Nama and Anirudh Nama, who deliver adorable performances in every scene. The film reaches a crucial juncture when the paths of the children and the couple intersect, leading to highly gripping moments.

The seamless connection between these two distinct storylines is commendable, with a foundation laid from the very beginning, ensuring it fits seamlessly into the narrative. Sangeeth Shobhan delivers a convincing portrayal of a village dweller, conveying fury, tension, and helplessness effectively.  Saanvee Megghana impresses as Abhita, delivering strong expressions and displaying confidence in her performance.

The film's soundtrack, composed by Anup Rubens, is outstanding, and the performances of Anasuya, Vennela Kishore, Supreeth Reddy, Raj Tirandasu, and Goparaju Ramana do justice to their respective roles. The film's pacing is slow for a significant portion, occasionally resulting in moments of tedium. The movie's length could have been trimmed by eliminating a few redundant scenes, particularly in the climax and post-interval segments, which tend to drag on.

Prema Vimanam Movie Review

A late-in-the-game plot twist diminishes its impact, appearing somewhat overused and lacking the element of surprise. Certain scenes in "Prema Vimanam" may evoke memories of similar scenes from previous films. But still, Prema Vimanam has scenes that connect to you in some way or the other.

Verdict:

Overall, Prema Vomanam has a simple story and runs on two parallel tracks. There is nothing new that these stories show but the manner in which they are interlinked in the second half makes things very interesting for the audience and ends as a passable fare on OTT.
