It happens sometime out of sheer compulsion. Popular director Prem of Kariya, Excuse Me, Jogi, Raj the Showman, Preethi Eke Bhoomi Melidhe and 100th film of Shivarajakumar 'Jogaiah' in his production does not forget the beginning days of assistant director in the camp of AR Babu.

On one fine day at Nandi Hills in the late 90's assistant director Prem was doing his duty knowing the shortage of raw stock and absence of another other on the scene to be completed on that day itself. Anaji Nagaraj cameraman of the film 'Halo Yama' came requesting assistant director with a rare point. There is shortage of stock in the camera and I have to help him. When Prem came to know the situation another appeal came to him to play the role of a 'Pimp' in the film.

So compulsions from various quarters made Prem to do the role of a 'pimp' in Halo Yama Kannada cinema a super hit film. When Prem was getting ready for a small shot it is Doddanna who is playing the 'Yama' role inquired to take a few rehearsals. I told Doddannaji – no rehearsal only take as he knew the situation of shortage of raw stock.

Prem recalled the first shot he faced on the sets of 'Prem Adda' his second film as hero after 'Preethi Eke Bhumi Melidhe'.
