In catching the reality of the early 80's on silver screen - innocence misused by village politics shown in `Subramanyapuram' in 2008 in Tamil and again in Telugu as `Ananthapuram 1980' has come to Kannada in 2012 from producer Meka Muralikrishna as `Prem Adda'. The subject is very relevant even to this day because we find innocent villagers. That is not a compliment but the backwardness of our democratic country one could argue. What extent the innocence is put to test is shown in this remake film `Prem Adda'. When anger is given to heart and mind without making a peaceful thinking on the consequences the developments in the film bound to happen. Taking life of one person is not that easy. When the trio in this `Prem Adda' bailed out from one murder of Krishnaiah by rival Somanna gang there was chance for them to reform in life. Trio once again show admiration for the person who bailed out them and slowly fall to the ground reality of life. Seena (Muralikrishna) is surrounded when Onte betray the trio and again Ranga is betrayed by his own lover Girija. For Girija it is painful. She is convinced life is not possible with Ranga. Such developments happen only because of the wrong stand Seena and Ranga take in live. Vengeance kills their patient thinking. For eminent director turned actor Prem this is a best suited role. He looks rugged. The role is also like that. He tried hard to give a neat and convincing performance. Meka Muralikrishna producer of the film as Seena in the film has used his eyes very well in expressions. The lovely looking Kriti Karbanda has given enough of smile and expression from her eyes. The acceptance of this role from a modern day's heroine Kriti Karbanda is something beyond imagination. There are no good costume, duet songs, foreign locations and entire film is set in village backdrop yet Kriti Karbanda has accepted this film shows her thoughts are for variety of roles. The song number of Aindrita Ray and Scarlet Wilson - one local and the other one international there is nothing special. They are average numbers. The song Kalli Ivalu Nanna Kondhe Bittalu ..more meaningful and melodious as the song relate even to the last scene of the film. V Harikrishna is unstoppable from giving melody and peppy numbers. Arun D Prasad is highly skilful in giving a tidy cinematography. Editing should have been in higher thinking. Two well known directors - Prem and Mahesh Babu working for this film is not an excellent offer. It is not very bad but tolerable watch. Score - 6/10
