After the recent event of a pregnant woman in Virudhunagar being transfused with HIV infected blood took the people of Tamil Nadu by shock, a similar incident in Chennai has been reported.

A pregnant woman from Mangadu has reportedly been seeking treatment from the Kilpauk Hospital, where she has been detected with HIV following a blood transfusion. The woman immediately filed a complaint against the hospital authorities at a local police station. Apparently, no action has been taken against the Health Minister or the Secretary of the hospital, yet. The woman now seeks justice from the Tamil Nadu government for immediate action against those who are responsible.

However, when the Dean of the Kilpauk Hospital was inquired regarding this, she refuted the claims made by the woman and served the reports that evidently suggested the infusion of HIV negative blood. Investigation of the issue is underway.
